Who we are

Mappazzo Limited (we, us, our) complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993 (the Act) when dealing with personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person).

The policy describes how we will collect, use, share and protect your personal information. This policy does not limit or exclude any of your rights under the Act. If you wish to seek further information about the Act, see www.privacy.org.nz.

This privacy policy applies to information (including personal information) that we collect when you use or access our website, application, or just interact with us, it applies to all the sites and associated products and services provided by Mappazzo Limited including but not limited to those branded as Mappazzo, Trakk and Trakk Assets.

We may change this privacy policy from time to time. Whenever we make changes to this privacy policy, the changes are effective 48 hours after we post the revised privacy policy onto our website. The date of any revision is indicated at the top of this privacy policy. We encourage you to review our privacy policy whenever you access our services to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

Information you provide to us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you participate in any interactive features of our services, fill out a form, request customer support, provide any contact or identifying information or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, postal address, credit card information and other contact or identifying information you choose to provide.

Order information: when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

Information we collect automatically when you use our services

When you access or use our services, we may automatically collect information about you, including:

  • Log Information: We may log information about your use of our services, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the page you visited before navigating to our services.
  • Device Information: We may collect information about the computer you use to access our services, including the hardware model, and operating system and version.
  • Location Information: We may collect information about the location of your device each time you access or use one of our mobile applications or otherwise consent to the collection of this information.
  • Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: We use various technologies to collect information, and this may include sending cookies to your computer and storing data on your device. Data stored on your hard drive or in your device memory helps us to improve our services and your experience, to see which features of our services are popular, improve security, and to provide offline capability. Information we collect from other sources

In order to provide you with access to our services, or to provide you with better service in general, we may combine information obtained from third parties with information we collect through our services. Third party sources include services that you have authorized to interact with our service or sources of public information. For example, you may authorize a third-party service to share information with us to extend capability of our service.

Use of information

We use the Order Information that we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.

We use other information that is collected for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide services you request;
  • Personalize and improve our services;
  • Send you information related to the services we are providing to you. Including: technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages;
  • Maintain and improve our services;
  • Communicate with you about news and information related to the service we are providing to you, or about other services we provide;
  • Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service;
  • Complete research and statistical analysis, to monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our services;
  • Screen for potential risk and fraud;
  • Protect and/or enforce our legal rights and interests, including defending any claim; and
  • Complete any other purpose authorized by you or the Act.

A business that supports our services and products may be located outside New Zealand. This may mean your personal information is held and processed outside New Zealand. By accessing and using our services, you consent to the processing and transfer of your information in and to Australia, the United States and other Countries.

Sharing information

We may share personal information about you as follows:

  • Provide information to other users as part of the service we provide, in accordance with the preferences you have selected on your user profile;
  • With third party vendors and or any business who supports our services or who need access to your information to carry out work on our behalf. Including any person that hosts or maintains any underlying IT system or data centre that we use to provide the our services and subcontractors we engage to improve our services or provide customer support;
  • With any other person authorized by the Act or another law;
  • If we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights;
  • To enforce applicable user agreements or policies, including our Terms of Service and to protect us, our users or the public from harm or illegal activities;
  • In connection with any merger, sale of Mappazzo Limited assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company;
  • If we notify you through our services (or in our privacy policy) that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information;
  • Aggregated or anonymized information that does not directly identify you;
  • With any other person authorized by you.

Third Party analytics

We may allow third parties to provide analytics services. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information about your use of the services and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by us and third parties to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content and other websites and better understand your online activity. Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, third party cookies, web beacons or other tracking technologies and we encourage you to check the privacy policies of these third parties to learn more about their privacy practices.

Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect personal information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.

If you post your personal information to one of our message boards, you acknowledge and agree that the information you post is available to users of that message board.

If you follow a link on our website to another site, the owner of that site will have its own privacy policy relating to your personal information. We suggest you review that site’s privacy policy before you provide personal information.

Any personal information you provide to us may be stored on the secure servers of our trusted service providers, which may be located outside New Zealand. This may involve the transfer of your personal information to countries which have less legal protection for personal information than New Zealand.

Your information choices

Do not track: Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Location Information: When you first launch any of our mobile applications or websites that collect location information, you will be asked to consent to the application’s collection of this information. If you initially consent to our collection of location information, you can subsequently stop the collection of this information at any time by changing the preferences on your device. If you do so, our mobile applications, or certain features thereof, may no longer function. You may also stop our collection of location information by following the standard uninstall process to remove all of our mobile applications from your device.

Cookies and offline storage: Most web browsers are set to accept cookies and allow offline data storage by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove information and/or reject browser cookies. Please note that if you choose to do this it will affect the availability and functionality of the services we provide. Some of our applications will not work without access to data storage (IndexedDB and LocalStorage modules).

Promotional Communications: You may opt out of receiving any promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Accessing and correcting your personal information

Subject to certain grounds for refusal set out in the Act, you have the right to access your readily retrievable personal information that we hold and to request a correction to your personal information. Before you exercise this right, we will need evidence to confirm that you are the individual to whom the personal information relates.

In respect of a request for correction, if we think the correction is reasonable and we are reasonably able to change the personal information, we will make the correction. If we do not make the correction, we will take reasonable steps to make note on the personal information that you requested the correction.

We may charge you our reasonable costs of providing to you copies of your personal information or correcting that information.

European Residents

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data retention

When you use our services, we will maintain your information collected for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

You can remove some of the personal information that you have submitted to our services by deleting it. Once you delete your personal information, it will not appear on the Services, but copies of your deleted personal information may remain in our system or backups for some period of time. We will retain inactive data and web server access logs for a maximum of 10 years and then delete them.
